Hi,
I have installed on my server kernel with grsec and mysql 4.0.24.
Im useing mysql with phpbb. After few minutes mysql is killed by grsec:
Code: |
May 3 21:34:03 paul Out of Memory: Killed process 13652 (mysqld).
May 3 21:34:03 paul Out of Memory: Killed process 9359 (mysqld).
May 3 21:34:03 paul Out of Memory: Killed process 7727 (mysqld).
May 3 21:34:03 paul Out of Memory: Killed process 16977 (mysqld).
May 3 21:34:03 paul Out of Memory: Killed process 898 (mysqld). |
When im trying tu run mysql again:
Code: | 050503 21:34:10 bdb: malloc: Cannot allocate memory: 10485760
050503 21:34:10 Can't init databases
050503 21:34:10 Aborting
050503 21:34:10 /usr/sbin/mysqld: Shutdown Complete |
It is something wrong wiht mysql or maybe I had something wrong with grsec configuration? |

It really depends on your grsec settings. What you could do is compile another kernel that does not have grsec enabled.
What kernel are you using?
Do you have GRKERNSEC_SYSCTL enabled? |
