Hi,

I have installed on my server kernel with grsec and mysql 4.0.24.
Im useing mysql with phpbb. After few minutes mysql is killed by grsec:

Code:

May  3 21:34:03 paul Out of Memory: Killed process 13652 (mysqld).
May  3 21:34:03 paul Out of Memory: Killed process 9359 (mysqld).
May  3 21:34:03 paul Out of Memory: Killed process 7727 (mysqld).
May  3 21:34:03 paul Out of Memory: Killed process 16977 (mysqld).
May  3 21:34:03 paul Out of Memory: Killed process 898 (mysqld).

When im trying tu run mysql again:

Code:
050503 21:34:10 bdb:  malloc: Cannot allocate memory: 10485760
050503 21:34:10 Can't init databases
050503 21:34:10 Aborting

050503 21:34:10 /usr/sbin/mysqld: Shutdown Complete

It is something wrong wiht mysql or maybe I had something wrong with grsec configuration?

It really depends on your grsec settings. What you could do is compile another kernel that does not have grsec enabled.

What kernel are you using?

Do you have GRKERNSEC_SYSCTL enabled?
