Toolbar in Fluxbox

I was just looking at some screen shots, and I noticed that the toolbar in fluxbox can be used to switch applications. Right now my toolbar only shows the currently selected app. How do I make it show all of the running apps so that I can switch back and forth between them. Also, what are good system stat monitors that can be displayed in the slit?
