|
|
...and I get the error message in the log "cannot find whizzytex.sty" even though I put it manualy in the path
/usr/local/share/whizzytex/latex/whizzytex.sty
and to be secured, I put it also in /usr/local/share/whizzytex/
but still! the error message says cannot find whizzytex.sty
aarrrrggggghhhh
the two other files whizztex and whizztex.el are in the right place (/usr/local/bin/ and /usr/share/emacs/site-list/ ) (I still get the whizzytex menu in emacs, just cannot initialize the whizzytex...
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

It's not enough to simply copy the ".sty" file into some arbitrary path. You need to check out the "texhash" command. Check out this link on how to set things up. |

WWOOWW!!
Thanks a lot, nahpets! And I used a lot of time debugging without success. Now I am a step further in Latex, and I thought I knew all I needed to know about Latex...
solution:
create directory in $HOME
Code: | $HOME/texmf/tex/latex/ |
and put the .sty (any new .sty file you get) in that directory.
run texhash to update the latex database of the new package.
hehe, so easy.
Thanks again.
