For y'all who have been following my ongoing saga in getting my Belkin Wireless Network Notebook card (F5D6020 ver.2) working, here is the current status: I have vanilla 2.4.20 kernel w/ACPI patched, pcmcia-cs installed, and the atmelwlandriver compiled w/o errors. I found out that the card might use the "apcmf502re" module. When I modprobe or insmod the module, I get a slurry of error messages, the most relevant one says "operation not permitted." "dmesg | grep apcm*" shows a "CardServices release does not match" The kernel is compiled with pcmcia off, wireless lan support on without any drivers selected, and a clean emerge of pcmcia-cs against the kernel.
Does anyone have any clues? |
