my corporatly controlled dns is broken - they've tied wins into a dynamic dns setup (read: broken) with the end result that forward and reverse dns lookups of dhcp controlled machines often don't match.

I can fix this for servers by demanding static ips, but my laptop is still going to be in the dhcp-controlled realm.

does anyone know of a method for turning off the reverse-dns lookup on the kernel nfs server?

thanks
