v1.1a bootable cd on e3500 and starfire v880

Has anyone successfully booted and run the v1.1a sparc64 bootable cdrom on either a e3500 or a starfire v880? I just tried it on both boxes w/no luck. On the e3500, I get the box to boot, and get to a prompt, but input from the keyboard is not accepted. I must state that the keyboard (model type 5c) did not come with the 3500, but is a sun keyboard that works just fine with the system when running solaris.

On the v880, the box boots through loading the initial ramdisk,
then remaps the kernel....but then the system reboots.

I know the v880 is not listed as supported ..........just wanted to report a test. If there's any newer version alpha or beta that may
run on the v880, I'd be _real_ interested in finding it.
