ok guys
i think we should all start lkooking into this prgram..
its very good
pardon my english, i'm tired.
anyway
yea so
i'm installing itfrom breakmygentoo and its working just fine..
everything except
the configure script for f-spot itself
this is what happens
| Code: | checking for jpeg_start_decompress in -ljpeg... yes
checking jpeglib.h usability... yes
checking jpeglib.h presence... yes
checking for jpeglib.h... yes
checking for sqlite_last_insert_rowid in -lsqlite... no
configure: error: sqlite not found
|
however
when i do a whereis sqlite i get
| Code: | sqlite: /usr/bin/sqlite /usr/X11R6/bin/sqlite /usr/bin/X11/sqlite /usr/include/sqlite3.h
| and
a whereis sqlite3 affords me these results
| Code: | | /usr/bin/sqlite3 /usr/X11R6/bin/sqlite3 /usr/bin/X11/sqlite3 |
whats gong wrong people? _________________ "wa ma tawfiqi illah billah"

You need sqlite version 2.8, not version 3 (so do emerge '<sqlite-3'); apparently, whoever develops f-spot uses outdated software, and doesn't realize that their program only works with ancient versions of sqlite.
EDIT: it's fixed in bmg. |
