However, I think 5 mins per day is about right for me. Does taking a shower count? That would add a couple more minutes - precious time away from the screen! _________________ Excelsior! |

Yup, though the duration of stopover also depends on the quality and quantity of the article(s) |

Two chapters. Unless they're long ones.

For anyone who wonders why there aren't more chicks involved with Linux, this thread should clear up any confusion.

So, ah, does any one else get pins and needles if they spend too long reading in the loo? I hate that when you get up to walk away and your legs almost collapse because the cirulation has been restricted for too long...but perhaps it is just me _________________ We used to have hominid cousins that were vegetarian. It depends on what I have with me to read When I was reading LOTR it could easily take up to half an hour. If I take a schoolbook I'm done in 5 minutes _________________ Life is like a box of chocolates... Before you know it, it's empty...

Amen, bro!
The time spent depends on a lot of factors:
1) at work - quick as possible, hate the damn stalls
2) at home - anywhere from a couple of minutes to 30-60 minutes (depending on what I'm reading)

The problem of the poll is, my timespan of 5 to 30+ minutes isn't an option
What literature I read? Mostly german computer magazines (c't, iX, just to name to most popular ones, but also the 'more exclusive' ones like it-ti, ...) and news magazines. I haven't tried yet to read a book, which I believe is going to be difficult as reading one chapter usually lasts longer than 20-30 minutes (except when you read a book of short stories ) And I don't like to be interrupted in the middle of a chapter |

| Everybody needs to invest in a copy of Uncle John's Bathroom Reader. It's a nice-sized book with tons of articles in it, ranging from a page (for those quick in-and-out trips) to longer ones (it's been so long since I read mine (an older edition), I can't remember how long...). A necessity for anybody who reads in the bathroom! |

| How about "as long as it takes"? ebrostig, I disagree. At work I like to take as long as possible becuase I'm still getting paid and I like avoiding my boss. |
