|
|
When I launch my window manager (fluxbox), I also launch four terminal windows on one of the desktops (no window decorations). Up until now I've been using aterm, but I recently migrated to UTF8, and aterm doesn't support it. So I switched to xfce-extras/terminal, but I can't get it to automatically cover one quarter of the screen. Fluxbox can do the positioning, but there doesn't seem to be any -geometry switch. Any ideas?
Or, I could switch to another terminal, if somebody knows of one that supports both UTF8 and transparency, and that doesn't have menus (or menus you can turn off). _________________ PKA Cuber

If you emerge xterm with the unicode USE flag set you should have a program called "uxterm". That's what I use. _________________ ~~ Peter: Brony, GNU/Linux geek, caffeine addict, and Free Software advocate.

I don't use transparency on my uxterm sessions though so I'm not certain. The man page should have more info if you're interested. _________________ ~~ Peter: Brony, GNU/Linux geek, caffeine addict, and Free Software advocate.

It seems uxterm is just the same as xterm -lc, at least in this case. But thanks anyways. _________________ PKA Cuber
