since the search function in here does not give the feedback I long for
I have to ask this question

Where do I see all the installed Pakages on my system
is the
/var/cache/edb/world file the only place ??

and
if I do
emerge lyx
emerge unmerge lyx

is my system the the same as before ?
mean will all pakages list as
[ebuild N ]
be remouved ?? or will they stay ??

You can look in /var/db/pkg, or emerge gentoolkit and use "qpkg -I".

If I understand your question correctly, you're asking if "emerge unmerge lyx" will unmerge things that were brought in as dependencies of "emerge lyx"? If so, then no, they will stay. This "reverse dependency checking" is an area of current Portage development.
