/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins

galeon uses the same plugins as mozilla .. it's the same engine used for rendering. at least flash, java and acrobat work fine, don't know what else i have installed ;)

elcondor, what version of acrobat do you have working, and what files did you copy to mozilla's plugins directory? Any other configuration needed?

I just coppied nppdf.so to /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins, but acrobat is not working with galeon.

acroread 5.05 is installed (but actually xpdf can display more files with strange fonts ;)) - the only configuration for plugins in galeon I made was emerge galeon :D

Did I already mention that I love this distribution?

Is Acrobat in the portage tree? Is acrobat running inline (inside the browser) or as a helper app? I can get it to work as a helper app, but as a plugin has been a no can go.

Code: Select all

PHIEPS root # emerge -s acro
[ Results for search key : acro ]
[ Applications found : 1 ]

*  app-text/acroread
      Latest version Available: 5.05-r1
      Latest version Installed: 5.05-r1
      Homepage: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/
      Description: Adobe's PDF reader
acrobat is of course not in the portage tree, since it's commercial and still not available for linux ;)
but acroread runs inline in galeon.

the flash plugin actually is in /opt/netscape/plugins/ - maybe galeon looks there for it's. try

Code: Select all

emerge net-www/netscape-flash
hth
