You're no longer the pope, so you can't pontificate on that. _________________ Murphy's Law of Gentoo installation: If a compile can fail, it will.

How the hell am I supposed to know who I'm talking to when there are no avatars?!
I just hope the "temporary disabling" of the avatars isn't going to last as long as the one for images in posts... |

If it is, then the admins should stock up on gallery avatars. _________________ Murphy's Law of Gentoo installation: If a compile can fail, it will.

Seriously, though, I do wish applications were coded for XUL or Perl or whatever, anything with the features PHP has without the insecurities.
BTW, I just spoke to tomk in IRC for a second. He repeated himself, details will be published later. This is a temporary thing, so don't worry about it guys.

I thought the award would go to whatever programming language vim gets written in? _________________ Murphy's Law of Gentoo installation: If a compile can fail, it will.

No no no. Stuff like vim, the kernel, the compiler and your libc are written in C out of necessity, not because it's nice to program in. But writing code in ruby is actually fun. As for PHP... Well... Take a look... |

Cool, so you're starting to write the RubyBB forums software? Don't forget to add the features we are expecting to see in phpBB 2.2 such as subforums. I expect everything finished by tomorrow evening, can you do that? kthxbyebye. _________________ Dinosaur week! (Ok, this thread is so last week) |

So lets take bets on what has happened.
My guess:
Someone found out you could upload a file with a naming containing a > and then added some amusing javascript.
If this is true, the fix is to change the filename associated to a tempnam dervied one. |
