| I just got a Creative Zen Xtra and I think Gnomad (and all the other libnjb frontends, and even libnjb) suck terribly, and I can't get the software to install using Crossover Office. So could I just use VMWare to do it? Would that virtual machine be able to say...my /dev/hda3 (70GB NTFS) partition? Or no? What problems could I expect from doing this? |

It will see it I would assume. Just make sure no linux driver "grabs" it.
For an example the mass-storage driver grabs my ipod before vmware so vmware cannot use it. If you set your mass storage drivers as modules you can then unload them and re plug the device and normally vmware will then see it. I use gtkpod anyway for ipod stuff and that works. But I've gotten vmware (XP) to see the ipod before |
