Came up after a 2.6.9 upgrade to 2.6.10-gentoo-r5
I've searched high and low and so far found 0 sollutions.
The whole box is working just fine; usb mouse and usb-stick working great.
usb mouse is usb 1 while the usb-stick is usb 2 so no probs there either.
Currently running 2.6.10-r6
I figure you'll need more info to find out where the problem is but I don't really have an idea what to give.... |

ok what i've found so far is a remark somewhere that the way usb devices are given adresses has changed from standard pre 2.6.10 to a way windows handles it. And a link to a patch: http://www.seeraamuun.net/tutorials/usbscheme.patch
But before I start messing around; is this correct? |

I have been using 2.6.9-gentoo-r2 and experience this periodically. I know it shows up because my USB keyboard dies. The USB mouse still works, but if I unplug it, then I am sans mouse (good thing the kbd and trackpad on the laptop still work). So it is not just a 2.6.10 issue. |
