Ok- i'm not sure if this should go here or elsewhere.
When I'm doing an emerge system, it's failing when trying to compile glibc. It gets an "Error: absolute expression required 'li'
further on down it says:
make: ***[all] Error 2
!!! Error: sys-libs/glibc-2.3.4.20050125-r1 failed.
!!! Function toolchain-glibc_src_compile, Line 234, Exitcode 2
!!! (no error message)
is it just me or shouldn't i be compiling a newer version of glibc?
any idears?
thanks! |

I did sort of figure this out, so I'm posting this here in case anyone else has this problem
I'm using ~mips (not just mips) to emerge things- according to Kumba I need this for ip30/octane support.
according to what I found here: http://packages.gentoo.org/search/?sstring=glibc the version of glibc that I was trying to emerge is experimental- when I tried emerging a stable version (2.3.4.20040619-r2) , it worked, and seems to cause no problems... |
