emerging XFree86 4.2.99 falls over at xf86wacom.c

Hi all,

I'm just trying (or rather failing) to emerge XFree86 4.2.99. Unfortunately this constantly falls over at the xf86wacom.c stage.

Now there is a thread on the "installation" forum, about somebody with the same problem except using XFree86 4.2.1. I've followed the solutions advised in that thread to no avail! (the thread is called "emerge system exits at error on xf86Wacom.c" Hmm that's a point, how do I quote threads and include the link to them?)

I've posted a few replies asking for help, but I'm assuming that since it is (a) an old thread and (b) in the wrong forum, that nobody has seen it!

So has anybody any ideas? Since this happened with a previous version of X, I'm assuming that I've got something wrong with my setup, rather than there being a problem with X itself.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Should have mentioned. Gentoo 1.4 rc2, using testing.
