Another bug fix version arrives. This time GUI appearance is the focus of this release and you will see a longer than usual change log list. Several improvements were also incorporated in this release. What's more, the scheduled features for next major release 1.3.0 will be proposed here too.

Good job! However, one question: is skim necessary since scim works great for KDE, gnome, xfce4 and so on?

I had a bad experience with skim1.2.1 once, then unmerged it and decided to stick to scim.

hehe, thanks.

for bad experience, first, I need reemerge qt fot qtimm, which is not suggested for amd64;
second, after I emerged skim and rebooted, I had trouble to evoke skim or scim.:cry:

Personally, I like kde very much, and may try skim a little bit later.:P

if you are big KDE fan, like me, you can not miss skim ;)

you do not necessary to use scim-qtimm if you do not want (or can't) with skim, it will work just as scim

You have to tell scim that you want use skim, you can do so by consulting our wiki:

oh, btw, you do not need to "reboot", all you need is just exit X, and then re-startx, after you finished the gernal skim configuration, mentioned in last post

Thanks for your information. I'm just wondering whether skim is compatible with xfce4 or other gtk based applications.
