HI ALL.
I have a old Sun box laying around and I was thinking about converting it to Gentoo. Its
a old Enterprise One system. Here are the system specs I can remeber with looking at it.
sparc 64? most likely 200MHz
384 MB ram
SVGA card sun card
2 9GB scsi drives
1 CD-Rom
Sun 20" monitor
sun keyboard + mouse
Will Gentoo run on this hardware .... or am I wasting my time with it .... Any info
on this issue would be helpful ... _________________ General Blood ..

I think it can run pretty well on that machine. Although i do not own a sun but played around some years ago with many in the uni and i think that its a decent machine for a linux system. It all depends on the apps you want to run. If you go with something not so heavy it will work. Anyone bet the opposite? |
