Among other things, our writers don't seem to have noticed thst, as of the latest patch, the "gentoo-sources" tree *does* include XFS support.  |

Here is something that needs to be added. In the Portage manual (http://gentoo.org/doc/portage-manual.html) after "Code listing 15", it says this:
| Quote: | | In the above listing, packages marked with a N are packages which have not yet been installed and would be installed during this action. Packages marked with a U indicate that an older version of the package was already installed and the action would upgrade the package. |
Some packages is marked with R - that should be explained too. I don't know whether there are other?
