I'm trying to connect a USB-IDE adapter with a 20gb hdd.
I have been doing this manually for a while with

Code:

modprobe usb-storage
mount -t vfat /dev/sda1 /mnt/usbhdd

which works perfect.

I wanted to go with hotplug instead. But when I plug the usb-storage adapter the usb-storage module never get initialized.

lsmod keeps saying:
usb-storage 21484 1 (initializing)

in my log I have:
usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout

I don't know where to look for more errors. Must be some hotplug thing!
