|

Hello,
I have Gentoo running on a E4500 w/ only a few minor problems. I have two Gigabit Ethernet SBus (GBE/S) 2.0 cards ( http://sunsolve.sun.com/handbook_pub/Devices/Ethernet/ETHER_GigabitEthernet_2.html) that I can't seem to get working. From what I can find out about them, the sungem driver should work. After several compile problems with sungem using a 2.4.27 gentoo kernel and a 2.4.26 vanilla, I went with 2.6.8. The module compiles, but doesn't give any useful output when loaded. I also can't seem to find out what params I could pass to make it work.
The hme and qfe cards all work fine.
Any ideas?

It may be worth posting to the sparclinux mailing list to see if anyone else has some pointers there that may help. |
