Has anyone gotten any audio editors to work on AMD64 other than audacity?

Audacity is okay but it has a pretty limited feature set. I love rezound but it just dies on me (with both jack and alsa) so I'm wondering if it's an amd64 problem. I've never used gnusound but it's masked out for amd64... is there anything else? Does anyone have rezound working?

I have ardour installed and my inital tests are that it is working. But I have not tested it extensively so YMMV.

I've been doing some simple stuff with soundtracker's built-in editor, but it's started segfaulting after a recent rebuild.

Ardour is a little hard to get started with as it is a little bit strange in what you need to do to get a project in a state where you can record. Just play around with it and you will figure it out. But first you need to have jack working correctly. I would suggest installing qjackctl. This will give you a GUI front end to jack which will make jack easier to deal with. You might want to install meterbridge as well. With qjackctl and meterbridge you can get jack working and tested before you bring up Ardour to try to figure out how to use it. In other words with qjackctl and meterbridge you can make sure that you have good audio signals available before you start playing with Ardour.

Too bad. I guess I'll wait until fixed ReZound makes it to Portage.
