I have a sun blade 150 UltraSPARC-IIe 650Mhz with OpenBoot 4.6. When booting the live CD the system echo’s “Booting Linux…” and never progress. This happens on the 2004.3 and 2004.1. (Debian doesn’t do any better.) I have installed both Solaris 9 and 10 with out any problems. SPARCS are new to me so I can be missing something very obvious.
There are no errors it just sits there telling me its “booting Linux…”
Any help would be appreciated.

Try the 2005.0 CDs, they've considerably more chance of working on the *50 kit.

Thanks,
I am struggling through the install now. My problem was resolved when I pulled all the unnecessary peripherals out of the system. The SUN video card (3Dlabs Wildcat) seems to be creating the issue. With the on board ATI all is well.
