| Just wondering why we don't have a ebuild for Samba that uses Lprng instaed of Cups. From my experiences with the two packages I much prefer Lprng. I hacked a ebuild and managed to get the combination on my box, but I wouldn't dare release it since I don't feel my knowledge of the subject is enough for that. |

Hi,
Well I'm curious what you did.  Like did you create a new use flag...or....?
If your ebuild works for you, then you might know enough. If you don't show it, you probably won't get many suggestions on how to improve it.

| Mainly just replaced the use flags for cups with lprng and replaced other instances of cups during the script. There was a section dealing with cups printing through Samba that I was not sure how to handle, since I don't print through Samba I just commented it out for now. |
