i recently had Gentoo and tried to make a multi-boot system everything in Gentoo was running SOOOO smooth then i tried windows and it crashed in the middle and i lost all my data yes i know i was supposed to install windows first but i wasnt thinking at the time or something.. anyway i cant do the hardwire again because my parents wont let me so i have Wifi and i HAD it working it was a few months ago so i got a DVD burner recently and wanted to install via DVD but this version has no download for this do i have to get another person to do this? or can i burn through windows after downloading it? id liek to have gentoo again!

No. Unless you make your own stage 4 ofcourse, which is not the case for you.

hmm how would i do that?

well is it possible to connect to the update site? and copy all the files from there to the dvd? (just a guess :P)

You could look around for shops like uselinux.co.uk near you. I believe distrowatch.com rotates ads for several.

Why not load your wifi drivers from the install cd and just install like normal? If that doesn't work, try booting from a knoppix cd and do the install from that. They have good wifi support in that.

im in the US but ill check those out and how would i go about doing that from knoppix? i can contact you on aim in a bout 2 hours from this post time and the wifi drivers dont support my wificard (acx100) and i had to write my own wifi config last time... so yeah i can post on here for a while
