I have this in my /etc/locales.build

en_US/ISO-8859-1
en_US.UTF-8/UTF-8

So i Used to run xmms like this
LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 xmms

Then for playlist font I had selected -gnu-unifont-medium-r-normal-*-*-160-*-*-c-*-iso10646-1 and set to use the fontsets, this worked fine and showed my unicode fonts

Then all of a sudden I think after an update merge my fonts look like chinese characters, and when i go to change fonts in xmms, if i pick a font that has iso-10646-1 my whole system hangs for about 30 seconds. I have no idea what could of changed.

The font issue might be present in other apps too just haven't come along any, so that is why i posted it here.
What shoudl i look into? I have already recompiled X.org and My /etc/xorg.conf has all the fonts just right (like it was when things worked)
FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/misc/:unscaled"
FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/Type1"
FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/TTF"
FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/corefonts"
FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/freefont"
FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/sharefonts"
FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/terminus"
FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/unifont"
FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/75dpi/:unscaled"
FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/100dpi/:unscaled"
FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/artwiz"
FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/cronyx/100dpi/:unscaled"
FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/cronyx/misc/:unscaled"
FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/cronyx/75dpi/:unscaled"

I am so lost and I just know its probably a simple one line fix, thanks in advance!
