At the moment, im running kernel-2.6.10-gentoo-r4 and recently have just got a replacement mouse for my old dinger.
Its not the most fantastic thing this mouse, but it does the job... but i have a few gripes...
I cant get the mouse wheel to work!
I have tried fiddling with my xorg.conf, and a few other things. upon doing a cat /dev/usbmouse, and playing with the scroll wheel, i have noticed that nothing seems to happen, unlike moving the mouse or clicking buttons.
I know that the wheel does infact work, as it has no problem in doing the right thing on my windows box.. and what is strange also, is that the wheel clicker (Mouse3) works even though scrolling does not.
What can i do! I just cant stand life without a mouse wheel! |

In the "InputDevice" mouse section of xorg.conf, try adding the line
Code: | Option "ZaxisMapping" "4 5" |
