Hello all,
Just installed gentoo for osx...starting to play with it...coming from Gentoo on x86. Do you use USE flags in your make.conf file like on the other platforms?
TIA,

You bet! Try emerging portage-prefpane (fixed noted typo), and it will give you a nice interface for setting your use flags.
As far as what I have set for example:
altivec - mplayer optimizations only I believe
aqua - builds emacs natively for aqua
imagemagick python quicktime ssl - tools I just happen to use

the above post has a small error, it is emerge portage-prefpane not portage-prefane. Also, for newbie's like me, the program shows up under System Prferences. |
