Howdy all,
Just curious as to when 2.6.10 will be classed as stable for AMD64?
Note: gentoo-dev-sources maintainers, you can tell me to go away if you like

i think the reason for 2.6.10 for not getting stable is a memory leak which is not solved atm. Don't know what's up with the gentoo-dev-sources but the vanilla-sources have the problem |

Don't know about memory leak, but I have some subtle problems with 2.6.10 not playing well with nvidia driver (Xorg crash on virtual console change). That and there are some configuration issues left, which I have workarounded (fancontrol related). Other than that, seems pretty stable to me.

Hardened amd64 has a stable 2.6.10 so I was wondering about that as well. I definately got some mem leaks somewhere (2.6.9-gentoo-r14, Xorg 6.8.2, nvidia) but didn't get around to finding them yet, don't think it's the kernel tho. |
