See pkgbuild. I'm sure you could easily make an ebuild from it. Hint hint.

Edit: Also see tecnoballz ebuilds.

A quick search in bugzilla would have lead you to bug #75494...

Teewars is a very nice game. Weird on the license/install from source, but it's great fun.

ebuild can be found here or here or check out below for whole overlay. (-:

Updated the ebuild a bit. Now it is teewars and teewars-bin
Again, available here or here or in roslin overlay.

edit
Teewars has a bug! Maybe it will hit the portage tree? (-;

OpenArena 0.7.6

We do have e-builds for 0.7.1, but it is way out of date and even the site doesn't recommend we run that old.

Cool, looks better then my ugly ebuild. You can find it, of course, in overlay from my sig. (-:

edit: Posted the ugly one on the bugs. (-;

galaxyhack has got an ebuild, but it (1.74) won't emerge, failing on JSDL.cpp with a std:memcopy undefined error? Eh? :(

Any non-obvious dependencies that I'm missing? Have scoured forum and bugzilla, but not with any luck up to now.

This isn't a thread for compilation errors. Make new thread, paste full error msg and emerge --info.

I would love to play a good port of Wolfenstein 3D.
The only project which seems alive is wolf4sdl, and the result seems really nice.
However, it still lacks an ebuild...

Heretic and Hexen have just been released under GPL-2. The SourceForge page can be found here.

Where is Road Fighter? It's listed in the original thread: http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-66960.html

I'm trying to make an ebuild for it, but am failing mizerably

Code:
# Copyright 1999-2006 Gentoo Foundation
# Distributed under the terms of the GNU General Public License v2
# $Header: /var/cvsroot/gentoo-x86/games-strategy/netherearth/netherearth-0.52.ebuild,v 1.4 2006/09/26 16:51:23 nyhm Exp $

inherit eutils games

MY_PV="${PV/./}"
DESCRIPTION="A remake of the game Road Fighter."
HOMEPAGE="http://www.braingames.getput.com/roadf/"

S=${WORKDIR}/sources

data=../road\ fighter\ v${PV}

src_unpack() {
   DATA_DIR=${GAMES_DATADIR}/${PN}

   unzip -LL "${DISTDIR}/RF-sources.zip" >/dev/null || die "unzip sources.zip failed"
   echo debug cp "${FILESDIR}/makefile" . || die "Makefile copying failed"
   cp "${FILESDIR}/makefile" . || die "Makefile copying failed"

   rm textures/thumbs.db
}

src_install() {
   dogamesbin road_fighter || die "dogamesbin failed"

   cd "${data}"

   # Install all game data
   insinto "${DATA_DIR}"
   doins -r maps models sound textures || die "doins failed"

   dodoc readme.txt

}

Anyone care to fix my unfinished horribly edited ebuild copy from netherearth to make it work for this game?

I have another one:

http://www.canta-game.org

I happen to be one of the 2-3 active developers :roll:
I made an deb file for ubuntu and maybe debian, and there are a suse rpm. But i have no time to make a ebuild at the moment. (Searching a Job and try to make canta better)

If somebody want to make a ebuild do it, it is mostly compatible with ultrastar and ultrastar songs. You find such files for example over torrent sides.
