2005.0 woes - back to deb's or RPM system for the time being

Gentooers,

Ah, I got 2005.0 working for about a day.
My system crash halfway through the system update, and many things broke like perl. When i started up LVM died with a locking error.

Anyway I needed some of the features of 2005.0 such as a decent multilib installation for some proprietary 32 bit apps I need to run in conjunction with everything else.

No doubt your doing a great job, but after 3 different re-installs of 2004.3 2005.0 trying to solve my problem I have decided to call it a day. I'll continue to use gentoo 2004.3 on my X86 systems, but as far as AMD platform support I think I might go back to debain for the time being. I'm leaving my computer in another country and just can't have any more problems.

Does anyone reconmend a binary package manager replacement for someone who LIKES gentoo, to tide them over until the multlib issues in 2005.0 are resolved?
