I did a quick seach on this and didn't find it mentioned.
I would like a "control panel" like VBulletin uses (or similar to), where I could group threads i'm watching & participating in, along with other basic user maintaince functions (PM's, profile, buddy list, etc)

This is not quite a sane suggestion.
Actually the page you mentioned that links to all these functions is already there: The Front Page.
Adding a so-called "control panel" will mean one more link to click to get to all these functions, which means more load on the server. Maybe that's also why we do not use VBulletin - the server load here is already very heavy. _________________ Murphy's Law of Gentoo installation: If a compile can fail, it will.
