I would like to know if it is possible to change from a "normal" gentoo box to a hardened one.
I've been thinking about downloading a hardened kernel. Ok, that's obvious that i can do it.
But, is there any problem if i download an hardened-stage3 and i uncompress it on my working gentoo box?
In case i could, should i do any other thing to become my box to a completly hardened one?
Thx everybody. _________________ Todo lo que quisiste saber sobre google en: www.noticiasgoogle.es |

You would probably need to change your gcc profile (see gcc-config -l)
Depending on which stage you go with or if this is a system that is already running, you could do a bootstrap and/or emerge --pretend --emptytree system with the new hardened gcc profile. |
