I am doing a new install. however I keep getting errors simmilar to the one below

Code: Select all

/usr/lib/portage/bin/ebuild.sh: line 385: confcache_stop: command not found
make: *** No targets. Stop.

!!! ERROR: kde-base/kopete-3.4.0_beta1 failed.
!!! Function kde_src_compile, Line 153, Exitcode 2
!!! died running emake, kde_src_compile:make
!!! If you need support, post the topmost build error, NOT this status message.
they all seem to be with the split kde ebuilds.

I found out it is harmless. It is safe to just ignore it. Something else is causing any errors.

/usr/portage/kde-meta.eclass is trying to use confcache which, as far as I know, is not in any of the stable or unstable portage versions.
I haven't tried it yet but the confcache patch for 2.0.51 portage is available here.
