|
|
Is there a way? I've read a lot of threads about excluding whole categories, but I only want to exclude a single version of a specific package, specifically the gnome package, because I've edited it to not include epiphany, which is not needed anyway, but when sync'ing the portage tree, it gets downloaded all over again... I'm sure there's an easy solution, but I can't think of it... |

This didn't seem to work...
I put PORTDIR_OVERLAY="/usr/local/portage" in /etc/make.conf
I cp the gnome .ebuild to /usr/local/portage/gnome-base/gnome/
I made the necessary changes in the file
I did ebuild <ebuildfile> digest as suggested in the wiki
I synced and did emerge -puD world, and....same as always...wants to install epiphany... |
