so i was browsing the gentoo faqs and i came upon the "how is gentoo pronounced" question.

isn't the soft 'g' sound like the g in 'golly' or 'gargle'? |

i know how to pronounce gentoo, but i'm wondering which is the hard g and which is the soft. my thoughts...
soft = golly
hard = germ |

Jentoo is easy.
But is Linux pronounced lie-nucks, lee-nucks, or li-nucks?
I've always thought it was li-nucks, but my boss thinks it's lie-nucks. |
