I emerged popfile today. The emerge worked like a charm. But I can't start the program itself:
Code: | karsten@Hagen /usr/share/popfile $ perl /usr/share/popfile/popfile.pl
Can't locate POPFile/Loader.pm in @INC (@INC contains: ./ /etc/perl /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.6/i686-linux /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.6 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.4 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.4/i686-linux /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.6/i686-linux /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.6 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.4 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.4/i686-linux /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.6/i686-linux /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.6 /usr/local/lib/site_perl .) at /usr/share/popfile/popfile.pl line 37.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/share/popfile/popfile.pl line 37.

I don't know a thing about perl. What is wrong? What am I to do? Thanks for any help! _________________ I could be arguing on my own time.

okay, it works if you do this Code: | Hagen ~ # cd /usr/share/popfile/
Hagen popfile # ./popfile.pl
|
as root. AFAIK its not necessary to run popfile as root. For security reasons, I would rather not. Can anyone help me here to find a better and more secure way? I would like to start popfile in the default runlevel, too. I am not able to create my own init.d startskript.
Thanks in advance! Karsten _________________ I could be arguing on my own time. |
