Hi,
I just bought a new nVidia card in loo of ATI. Everything installed fine, kernel, everything, but now when i run glxgears it only gives my about 700fps while my ATI9200 gave over 1600fps. I have enabled everything, except fast write (dont know how to in bios: Phoenix Award Bios on a Shuttle AK32VN), but I still get only 700. Ive tried both NvAGP and AGPGart, using my Nitro 2.6.8.1 Kernel. Ut2004 performance is about the same as is Americas Army, but I was expecting more. Which card is better? I know nVidia is better and all, but does anyone know if the ATi Drivers is going to take a year per release or are they going to regularly update them?
