I have finally gotten my Kodak DC290 to work on the usb port instead of a serial port. Only problem is it will only work as root. Anyone know how to make the silly thing work as normal user?
Thanks, _________________ Hope this helps!

I did something like this to sync. with my visor over USB as a regular user:
- created a group called usb
- added the user to this group
- added this line to /etc/devfsd.conf:
Code: |
REGISTER usb/tts/[01] PERMISSIONS root.usb 660
|
This allows members of group usb to read and write to usb ports. |
