Hep, je voulais savoir si ça existait un moyen de faire un BIP Bios a partir du terminal (utile dans les scripts), mais aussi si ça peut s'executer en user...

Par "bip BIOS" tu veux dire un des sons que le BIOS fait quand il y a un probleme par exemple? Je ne sais pas si on peut regler la frequence et la vitesse pour obtenir ca.. Mais c'est clair qu'il faut faire travailler le PC speaker.

ça marche que si tu as mis le support PC speakers dans le noyau.

ben forcement, vu qu'on veut utiliser le_dit speaker ! (a moins que les autres methodes [si il y en a] n'en aient pas besoin !?)

Sur la série des 2.6 il est désactivé par défaut.

vui tiens d'ailleurs, comment on le desactive le bip du tab sur le noyau 2.4 ...
Un peu marre de me faire jeter par ma copine quand je traine tard le soir sur le pc et qu'un Bip retentit dans la nuit  |

echo 1>/dev/? , mais bon. En fait, je voulais faire ça sous solaris, j'ai le même man pour bash, mais quand je fais un echo -e "\a" ça m'affiche: -e \a ...

Bon. M'ennerve ce echo là. Vais finir par en faire une affaire personnelle...
Peux-tu me sortir la version de la bête (ou au moins du solaris en question) ?
Il va surement falloir passer par les caractères d'échappement...
A voir aussi avec la commande GNU printf

hum... c'est un SunOS 5.8... Je n'ai qu'un accès à distance jusqu'à lundi, donc je ne peux pas tester le bip, écouter s'il retentit vraiment.
mais par contre, le printf "\a" passe bien, il ne me mets pas de message d'erreur, ni autre...  |
