problem loading modules

Hi all,

I've got this nasty little problem, i am unable to load any module with modprobe whatsoever. My main consern is my nForce2 Audio driver, which is closed software and needs to be loaded as module. The installer reports to me that it is unable to load the modules nvaudio.o (or nvnet.o for that case). I have built in support for loading modules in the kernel, so it's not in the kernel (i guess :s)

Are you running as root?
What error does modprobe give you?
