Once every few days, my vixie-cron mails root to complain
Quote: | Cron <root@ultra1> test -x /usr/sbin/run-crons && /usr/sbin/run-crons
find: /var/spool/cron/lastrun/cron.hourly: No such file or directory
|
When I check (not the instant the warning was sent) this file
does exist.
I have nothing in /etc/cron.hourly
I'd think the error is referring to this entry in the system crontab:
Code: |
*/10 * * * * root test -x /usr/sbin/run-crons && /usr/sbin/run-crons
|
And it probably has to do with this line at the end of /usr/sbin/run-crons:
Code: |
find ${LOCKDIR} -newer ${LOCKDIR} -exec /bin/rm -f {} \;
|
I'm running vixie-cron-4.1-r4 and cronbase-0.3.1
Does anyone have a suggestion what is wrong? Does this need a bugreport? |

I'm having this exact same issue on x86 architecture!
Anyone shed some light on this intriguing problem?
Cheers,
Martin. |

I have this on 2 x86 machines too. It's rare for it to occour, and happens on one more then the other. |
