When I try to emerge gaim or gnomeicu I get a complaint half-way the compile: "libintl.h: No such file or directory"
and soon after it dies with:
Code: | !!! ERROR: net-im/gnomeicu-0.98.3 failed.
!!! Function src_compile, Line -210, Exitcode 2
!!! (no error message) |
I am running 1.4rc1 stable with Gnome, gtk, gtk2 and so on in USE, with default CFLAGS "-march=athlon-xp -mcpu=athlon-xp -O3 -pipe".
So what is causing this and how can I get it to work? _________________ "Those who deny freedom to others deserve it not for themselves." - Abraham Lincoln

I read that updating glibc should help, but there I have the same problem: it depends on updates of gawk and baselayout, that won't compile because of the missing libintl.h. So now I'm doing emerge -u glibc --nodeps with fear in my heart... If things break after that, methinks I'll do a reinstall from scratch. _________________ "Those who deny freedom to others deserve it not for themselves." - Abraham Lincoln
