Search on the forum man! Read Portage User Guide!
Edit /usr/portage/packages(I think)/packages.mask and _comment_ (by putting # in the beggining of the line) the packages you want to unmask! _________________ Registred Linux user #191143!

i did a search and couldnt find anything, i found the answer on the irc channel, however unmasking the package turns out not to be the best way to sort my problem..
My problem is with gtk+2.0.9 emerge failing with:
checking Pango flags... -I/usr/include/pango-1.0 -I/usr/X11R6/include -I/usr/include/freetype2 -I/usr/include/glib-2.0 -I/usr/lib/glib-2.0/include -Wl,--export-dynamic -lpangoxft-1.0 -lpangox-1.0 -lpango-1.0 -lgobject-2.0 -lgmodule-2.0 -ldl -lglib-2.0
checking for pango_context_new in -lpango-1.0... no
configure: error:
*** Can't link to Pango. Pango is required to build
*** GTK+. For more information see http://www.pango.org
!!! ERROR: x11-libs/gtk+-2.0.9 failed.
!!! Function econf, Line 11, Exitcode 1
!!! econf failed
I had installed pango beforehand.
I think i should create a new post for this unless someone can help here..
Thankyou |
