Hey all,
I am a somewhat experienced programmer in C/C++, some assembler, some perl, and some java, and I'm looking to move into GUI programming a bit. Basically, I want to learn how to take my C++ knowledge and put it to use in something graphics based. I have had some experience with the CMU graphics libraries on mac/PC, but those are rather low level, and nothing like a graphical toolkit. So, my question is this, what toolkit (GTK, qt, etc) is a good starting point, what is a good programming util to use (or should I stick to straight code for now (seems really really tedious for most of the toolkits))? and what are some good on-line tutorials, books, and other resources to look at?
thanks for all the help,
-John |

Qt, qt, qt. Very easy to start with.
Good examples and docs available at www.troll.no.
Use qt-designer or just code your gui from scratch. |
