Window managers that remember?

I'm using Gnome (not interested in KDE) and I've tried other WMs. I like fluxbox, but it doesn't remember where windows were,
so I have to reorganize everytime I login. I find the paperclimb and icons in windowmaker annoying, so I've quit using it.

Any suggestions?

I love enlightenment. It can remember a variety of stuff. Stacking layer, border, location, size, start on load, groups, and more stuff that I can't remember. My list seems longer then the remember list in enlightenment, and I'm not at my computer right now, so I can't check.

Try enlightenment, I found it hard at first to get away from the KDE and Gnome menus, but eventually I pushed em away and am happy I don't have those menus taking up my desktop/resources.

Ah, yes... forgot about that one. I've tried it briefly, but it crashes on me. Whenever I try to change themes, I get a clock, then nothing.
The clock animation usually stays, but I have to ctrl-alt-backspace out. Maybe I'll try to rebuild it.

gkrellm is in the right of the shot, superb.... check out under x11-misc for many modules/plugins that you can add to it.
