alias char-major-195 nvidia
alias /dev/nvidiactl char-major-195
# To tweak the driver the following options can be used, note that
# you should be careful, as it could cause instability!! For more
# option see /usr/share/doc/nvidia-kernel-1.0.6111-r3/README.gz
#
# To enable Side Band Adressing: NVreg_EnableAGPSBA=1
#
# To enable Fast Writes: NVreg_EnableAGPFW=1
#alias char-major-195 nvidia
options nvidia NVreg_EnableAGPSBA=1 NVreg_EnableAGPFW=1
# To enable both for instance, uncomment following line:
#
#options nvidia NVreg_EnableAGPSBA=1 NVreg_EnableAGPFW=1

Do you have an "AGPFastWrites" option somewhere in your xorg.conf? If so, it is bogus and it is causing the "error" that you're seeing. Basically, your Xorg.0.log file is saying that you have a bogus option in your file, which has no place and is not used.
You have no error.
That line is merely a warning that you copied your xorg.conf information from some yahoo on some forums that didn't know what the hell he was doing.
Remove the line, then be happy. _________________ Ex-Gentoo Developer

I also have this same problem.
the lines
Quote: | Option "EnablePageFlip" "yes" #[<bool>] Improves performance
Option "AGPFastWrite" "yes" #[<bool>] |
were added automatically by Xorgconf.
So unless that same idiot on yahoo who doesnt know what he is doing, is also an Xorg developer, then these options Must be proper Xorg options.
Plus, this option is in many WIKI's
ALSO..... while searching fro the sollution, i found many people who have posted Xorg logs, along with xorg.conf's
and many people have this AGPFastWrites "yes" Option, without getting the error message in the xorg log. |

it is a proper xorg option. but what that message is telling you is that it's not an nVidia option. you're using nVidia's nvidia driver, not xorg's nv driver. _________________ by design, by neglect
