[HOWTO] LiveCD from scratch

Hey guys, I've been actively developping my own LiveCD since April 2008 when I found an old article on how to make a LiveCD on Gentoo-wiki (see reference in the article further down). At the time, I couldnt get it to work, it seemed several steps were incomplete and/or missing and it also used Genkernel which I never had used (and still havent) and didnt want to use.

I've finally gotten my build method up to "par" where I feel its worthy enough to be published and shared with others.

I'd like to present it here for multiple reasons:

1. to give the article and my work some public exposure
2. to give back to the community
3. to get feedback on the wiki
4. to get feedback on the script
5. to get feedback on my method of build

you have /home/FLY hardcoded everywhere throughout your script.
it would be better if this wasn't done like that
