Hi,
I have an old account in the Gentoo forums. But I have made a new one, which I have done because of a nick change. So my question is how do I delete my account in here? My old nick in the Gentoo forums was "litebyte", but I'm "pientra" now. I have been looking around in the forum, but didn't find an option that would delete my account. So I need help figuring this out.
Regards,
pientra
EDIT:
SOLUTION:
I've disabled litebyte. If you want to use the email address for your new account, let me know. Deleting the user changes posts to belong to "guest" which can make threads difficult to follow.

You should have posted here:

Maybe you can work something out with the admins to delete your new account (the one you just posted with) and rename your old one. Don't know...
Good luck. |

I'd rather keep my new account and delete the old one. Who should I email if I need help? |

From the nick change request thread from above:

The yahoo! addy was epicmyth1@yahoo.com (I think)
and the username was epicmyth | It is our policy to not delete inactive accounts because the posts are then assigned to a 'Guest' user. This makes following threads more difficult, especially if two accounts have been deactivated in the same thread. However, it would be possible to swap usernames with the old account if this is what you would like. |

If it really bothers you, you could always ask the admins to ban your accound. Ofcourse you could get yourself banned and have so fun at the same time _________________ Not Y3K compliant
