I have a M$ Sidewinder USB force feedback joystick. The question is: which modules do I have to have loaded for it to work (/dev/js0)?
I'd guess 'hid' 'joydev' and 'sidewinder', but it still doesn't work. My current loaded modules:
Code: |
Module Size Used by Not tainted
joydev 5824 0 (unused)
emu10k1-gp 1480 0 (unused)
keybdev 2080 0 (unused)
mousedev 4244 0 (unused)
hid 9912 0 (unused)
usbcore 40640 0 [hid]
sidewinder 10008 0 (unused)
input 3552 0 [joydev keybdev mousedev sidewinder]
gameport 1676 0 [emu10k1-gp sidewinder]
sr_mod 14200 0
sg 28076 0 (unused)
ide-scsi 10416 0

I have an M$ Force Feedback 2, and it works (not without bugs), but with those modules + uhci for the USB controller itself. Sidewinder is not necessary in my case. I hope that helps!

I tried insmod'ing both usb-uhci and uhci (the other is the alternate driver), but /dev/js* didn't still appear. The joystick powered on, though. |
